project description
A Residence | Warm Coastal eclectic This is a 1,050 sq.ft 3BHK home for a family of three called for a particular kind of discipline — every decision had to earn its place, spatially and aesthetically. The result is a home that feels far larger than its footprint suggests, built on a palette of cream, teal, ochre, and soft sage, held together by soft arches, organic forms, and a design sensibility that is warm without being cluttered. The living room does a great deal of work without showing the effort. A deep teal sofa on a gold wave-print rug anchors the space, while a backlit arch pressed into the fluted cream wall adds depth and a quiet glow. The TV wall runs vertical gold inlay lines flanking the screen, with a crescent arch cutout in brass completing what is, for a compact room, a remarkably composed composition. A nine-grid gallery of terracotta-toned botanical prints fills the sofa-facing wall — giving the room its personality without consuming its space. The dining area is handled with admirable restraint. A round fluted-base timber table beneath an organically shaped plaster mirror, linen chairs, a Berber rug — nothing more than what the space needs. Sage-green kitchen cabinetry with black stone countertops runs alongside, proof that in a smaller home, the kitchen needn't hide to stay elegant. The parent bedroom earns its generosity through layering rather than scale. A vivid tropical mural — blooms within a recessed headboard frame, while the rest of the room stays deliberately calm: neutral linen bedding, a black-and-white family photo wall, a mustard accent chair, and a stacked globe pendant. The wardrobe wall is resolved cleanly in floor-to-ceiling cream with bronze pulls and lower fluted detailing — storage that disappears into the architecture.
